We Didn't Exactly Plan Any of This.
If you'd told us years ago that our family's search for answers would eventually lead to environmental consulting, business coaching, digital products, artificial intelligence, original artwork, educational programs, and even video games… We probably would have had a few questions. But here we are.
We're a husband-and-wife team, parents of four, problem-solvers, researchers, creators, and apparently people who have never been very good at leaving an interesting idea unexplored. Our journey began when our family faced complicated health and environmental challenges. We started asking questions, researching possibilities, and searching for solutions. One discovery led to another. Before long, that curiosity became Core Environmental Consulting Services, where we turned years of experience into helping other families and property owners navigate environmental concerns.
My love of investigating and connecting information paired naturally with my husband's military-influenced approach to structure, planning, and getting things done properly. Together, we developed ways of working that balanced creativity with consistency. But environmental consulting was only one branch of a much bigger story.
Apparently, We Like Solving Problems. Somewhere along the way, we realized we had developed a rather unusual habit. Someone would bring us a problem, and we'd start looking for a way to solve it. A complicated business process? Let's simplify it. An expensive service? Is there a more affordable approach that still delivers quality? A confusing system? Let's figure out how it actually works. An idea that seems impossible? Well, now we're curious.
We learned how to build and operate businesses responsibly, navigate complicated systems, research unfamiliar subjects, organize information, and create practical solutions. Not every idea worked. Not every problem had an easy answer. But we discovered that a little curiosity, a lot of research, and the willingness to think differently could open doors we hadn't expected. And we wanted to share what we learned.
Not just through consulting, but through tools, templates, educational resources, apps, and products that help other people spend less time feeling stuck.
Then Life Told Me to Slow Down.
After years of balancing family, business, health challenges, and a mind that rarely stopped running, I reached a point where pushing harder simply wasn't an option. I needed something that wasn't another responsibility. Something that didn't need a business plan, a deadline, or an answer.
So I picked up a pen. And started drawing. One line became another. The lines crossed, curved, and connected. Shapes emerged that I hadn't planned. What began as a mindfulness practice became an unexpected creative adventure. Butterflies. Cellular patterns. Flowing networks. Celestial women. Colors, movement, and entire little worlds appearing on the page.
For once, I wasn't trying to solve anything. I was simply creating. And the funny thing? That creative freedom helped me recognize just how many ideas I'd been carrying around.
Wait… What If We Made That? Suddenly, everything seemed to spark another possibility. A drawing could become a print. A frustrating task could become a planner. A complicated process could become an app. A lesson learned through business ownership could become a resource for another entrepreneur. An idea could become a digital product, a game, a course, or something we hadn't even imagined yet.
And with technology and AI helping us explore, design, and build, those ideas no longer had to stay scribbled in notebooks. My husband started exploring his own creative projects, including LyfEscapes and the wonderfully ridiculous Toilet Bowl Gamez. Yes. Toilet Bowl Gamez. Because after everything life has thrown at us, sometimes you just need to laugh.
We realized we didn't need to choose between being practical people and creative people. We could be both.
A Little Chaos Theory. A Lot of Possibility.
That's where the name Impulse Theory Co. comes in. It's our creative interpretation of chaos theory: the idea that interconnected systems can evolve in unexpected ways, and even small changes can influence what happens next. One question led us into environmental science. One challenge taught us a new skill. One drawing opened a creative door. One idea inspired a product. And one product inspired three more.
Different directions. Unexpected connections. Endless possibilities.
Impulse Theory Co. became our place to bring those ideas together. Not just an online store, but a growing creative hub connecting our work, our interests, and the things we love making. Some of our creations solve everyday problems. Some help people organize their lives, learn something new, or explore opportunities. Some are designed to make running a business easier. Others exist because they're beautiful, interesting, or just plain fun. And that's exactly how we like it.
Welcome to Our Little Corner of Creative Chaos. Underneath all the different projects, there's one idea connecting everything:
Life is complicated enough. Let's make the useful things simpler and the enjoyable things more fun.
We believe in creating thoughtfully, doing business ethically, making knowledge more accessible, and finding practical solutions without unnecessary complexity or expense. We also believe in curiosity, imagination, laughter, and occasionally making something for absolutely no reason other than it makes us happy.
Whether you're here for a helpful digital tool, a creative product, an educational resource, a piece of artwork, or an idea you didn't know you needed, we're glad you found us. Explore a little. Follow whatever catches your curiosity. You never know where one small impulse might lead.
Solve what you can. Simplify what you must. Create what inspires you. And don't forget to have a little fun along the way.
Welcome to Impulse Theory Co.
Where practical solutions meet unexpected possibilities—and there's always room for a little creative chaos.
